University of York
The University of York is a member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities in the UK. The Physics Department has a leading role in the global research and technological advancement of plasma physics and fusion energy through the York Plasma Institute.
The York Plasma Institute mainly focusses its efforts towards tokamak and laser-plasma research relevant to fusion and particle acceleration, as well as plasma applications in astro/solar physics and extreme ultra-violet lasers, bringing together plasma scientists across a broad range of areas.
