On July 25th, 2016 participants to WP5 met via Vidyo (https://indico.cern.ch/event/558704/) to start organization of the work and distribute task’s assignments. After a brief report on the outcomes of the Pisa meeting, we discussed the WP5 tasks in more detail, looking at the first scientific milestone we have to achieve by November 1st, concerning the Preliminary RF accelerator specifications. A project report is expected to drive the choice of the most suitable injector for both external injection schemes. The WPs involved are 5,2,3,6,7,9,12,14.
Concerning LWFA external injection, we expect an input from WP3 (bunch length and charge, for instance), while concerning resonant PWFA, we expect inputs from WP9, in particular number of bunches in the train, temporal spacing and duration, and transverse drivers distribution (e.g. hollow beams). Finally a schedule of the next WP5 events has been discussed.
Participants: Alexandra Alexandrova (Liverpool, CI), Antoine Chance (CEA), Enrica Chiadroni (INFN), (DESY), Nicolas Delerue (LAL), Ralph Fiorito (Liverpool, CI), Alberto Marocchino (INFN), Claire Simon (CEA), Elena Svystun (DESY), Andreas Walker (DESY), Maria Weikum (DESY), Joseph Wolfenden (Liverpool, CI).
